About the University

The University of Exeter’s predecessor institutions, including St Luke’s College and the Camborne School of Mines, date back to the 19th century. These institutions merged to form the University of Exeter, which received its royal charter in 1955.

Location

The university has two campuses in Exeter, Streatham and St Luke’s, plus a Penryn Campus in Cornwall, opened in 2004 as part of a combined Cornwall universities initiative.
