About the University
Swansea University was established in 1920 as University College of Swansea, the fourth college of the federal University of Wales. It became an independent university under the name Swansea University in 2007.
Location
The university has two campuses on the coastline of Swansea Bay: the Singleton Park Campus, set within parkland to the west of Swansea city centre, and the Bay Campus, which opened in 2015 to the east of the city.
